Productive Struggle

So I continued my circles project. This time I decided to just code and type up a whole play-by-play. I'm going to let this project speak for itself and not really talk about it too much. There were a few times when I felt like I was stuck and spinning my wheels. Not making much progress. When that would happen I couldn't help but wonder if I was really learning. I can imagine what students feel like, especially when it is something that they may not be interested in. It's funny because I was just telling my students about productive struggle and now here I am experiencing my own productive struggle, and even though I know it is an important part of learning, I'm still feeling frustrated and saying to myself "There must be a better way." This is why it is so important that teachers continue to learn and push themselves out of there comfort zones. We have to stay in touch with the other side of the learning process to stay connected with our students.
